The Halton Fresh Food Box is an incorporated not-for-profit organization committed to making quality, fresh produce available in a way that does not stigmatize people, fosters community development and promotes healthy eating. As such there is a Halton fresh Food Box Board that works to ensure the program is accountable and well managed. Our Volunteer Packers
Two times a month, volunteer Fresh Food Box Packers get together to pack boxes full of fruits and vegetables for delivery to our neighbourhood sites. Want to help? Check out the volunteer job descriptions.
Our Volunteer Pick up Site Coordinators
Site coordinators handle customer orders and activities for the Fresh Food Box at the pick up sites across Halton region. Pick up sites are locally operated and managed.
Evan Hall is our Program Manager. He oversees the program at the direction of the Board. Evan orders the produce, writes the newsletter, manages the box packing days, provides community presentations, recruits new pick up sites; manages the web pages; and oversees the day to day operations. In consultation with the Board he sets the budget and works to ensure there is good financial management of all funds.
Jeanne Bullock is our part time Packing Day and Volunteer Coordinator. Jeanne responds to program queries from customers; manages the box packing days; oversees all volunteers including the volunteer pick up site coordinators and works with the book keeper to track and input financial data into the accounting program.
