Oakville is our busiest box packing day of the month and in September that is coinciding with one of the busiest weekends for produce sales all year. There should be zero issues with the Oakville box for this month, however there may have to be one or two last minute changes to the box to ensure quality and quantity.

In your $15 Box we have many of the same items in greater quantity  with additional items: Marshall’s Zucchini, Marshall’s Field Cucumber, Fisher Farms Pears, Tigchelaar Apples, Purple Plums, Busy Liz Green Peppers, Nectarines, Green Onion, Yellow Onions, Romaine Lettuce, Carrots, Eggplant, Cabbage, Roma Tomatoes as well as Broccoli, Green Cabbage and  Marshall’s Beet Bunch

In your $20 Box we have many of the same items in greater quantity with additional items: Marshall’s Zucchini, Marshall’s Field Cucumber, Fisher Farms Pears, Tigchelaar Apples, Purple Plums, Busy Liz Green Peppers, Nectarines, Green Onion, Yellow Onions, Romaine Lettuce, Carrots, Eggplant, Cabbage, Roma Tomatoes , Broccoli, Green Cabbage,  Marshall’s Beet Bunch as well as Cantaloupe

 
Roasted Plums

4 plums, halved and pitted
1/2 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon cumin
1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease a shallow baking dish with cooking spray.
Place the plums, cut-side up, in a single layer in the baking dish.
Whisk together the orange juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cumin, and cardamom in a bowl; drizzle over the plums.
Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until plums are hot and the sauce is bubbly.
